A few months ago, my mom and her boyfriend (now husband)Trey, came to visit our home for a few days. We were all sitting around talking about one thing or another when the subject turned to WoW.
As I said in our first post, I have been playing WoW for almost 4 years and my wife has joined me in the last year or so. My mom was an avid player Pre-BC. We were talking about all the changes that BC made to the game and sharing stories from our in-game experiences and how much fun this or that was, when we realized that Trey had no idea what we were talking about because he had never played.
After showing him some of the books and such that I had about WoW and explaining what it was all about, reluctantly he decide he would try it out. A character was made (Treythenoob) and he unenthusiastically sat down to play. A few minutes later his previous reluctance began to fade, and I recognized that all too familiar need to see more begining to take over, and on that day the family WoW party was born.
The laptops came out and Wi-Fi connections were made. Followed by an old account being reactivated, a new account and a couple of alts being created, and we were off. The next 3 or 4 days were filled with WoW fun. Laughing and joking were never in short supply and the time and the levels seemed to fly by. It was a great experience that I share when I talk to other players and especially with people who have never played.
We have had a couple more WoW parties with them since. The last one was at their house for the first time and this weekend we are lucky enough to get to do it all again. Here are some pics from our latest get together.
Thank you for reading and as always Have Fun!
